摘 要
当今世界国际合作和交流是必然的趋势。随着国际化的深入,越来越多的研究关注跨文化交际领域,但其研究的侧重点偏向于语言文化层面口头交际。本文主要研究非语言文化交际层面的服饰客体语,重点关注大放异彩的女性政治人物,在跨文化交际的视角下,以文化认同理论为指导,从女性政治人物服装风格方面分析服饰客体语的文化内涵和影响。

A Study of Female Politicians’ Object Language of Apparels from the Perspective of Intercultural Communication
Introduction
Intercultural communication, also known as cross-cultural communication, is defined as communication between people with quite distinct cultural perceptions and symbol systems to alter communication events (Dai 138). Undoubtedly, the main means of communication is speech, but other nonverbal means take a larger proportion, such as movements of bodies, changes of facial expression. People use these to express information in a nonverbal way. Therefore, when intercultural communication is discussed, intercultural nonverbal communication cannot be ignored. However, in the progress of intercultural communication, many people tend to pay attention only to verbal communication and forget the fact that most information in intercultural communications is transmitted through nonverbal ways, such as object language, paralanguage and environmental language and so on.
Considering the truth that globalization has become an irresistible trend, people play a significant role in intercultural communication in different areas. The study of the intercultural communication in China started in 1980s. Although it began lately, it developed fast. However, the study of intercultural nonverbal communication developed slowly. Not Until the 1980s did the study of intercultural nonverbal communication in the world have a further progress, regardless of its development in China.
At the same time, there are more and more female image appearing in political area and they tend to use nonverbal communication frequently, which can show more application value and importance of object language in real life. On the one hand, with women’s status becoming higher and higher, women show their distinctive features not only through their words but also through nonverbal
communication, for example appearance, wearing, and personal belongings. Thus instead of focusing on women’s political effects, people focus more on their nonverbal communication. On the other hand, as an important branch of nonverbal communication, object language is significant in interpersonal communications (Xiong, 1). Object language expresses implied information through some objects. Generally speaking, at a first sight of a person, people always remember his appearance, apparels or accessories instead of his inner beauty. Then people get a first impression of this person and make a general judgment on the communications that follow. Ruesch and Kess ( 1956 ) hold that object language includes all the
intentional or unintentional appearance of materials, such as tools, machines, art,
