女性主义一直是社会关注的焦点，男女平等一直是世界各国社会追求的目标。卡勒德·胡赛尼的《灿烂千阳》通过描写两位阿富汗妇女 30 多年的生活经历为，向我们展示了阿富汗妇女的现状。本文将两名女主人公的成长历程进行阶段划分，通过文本分析，探讨她们如何在战乱的阿富汗实现女权意识的觉

醒。并对比两位女主人公的社会和家庭环境，分析影响女性主义觉醒的要素。回顾小说中女主人公的经历，了解女性生存的现状。本文的目的在于证明男女在生存的各个方面都应该平等，女性应该努力克服困难，争取自己的权利，获得更幸福的生活。

Abstract

Feminism has always been the focus of social concern, and equality between men and women has always been the goal pursued by all societies around the world. Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns, which revolves around the life experiences of two Afghan women for more than 30 years, shows us the current situation of Afghanistan women. This paper divides the growth process of the two heroines into different stages, and through text analysis, discusses how they realize the awakening of feminism consciousness in the war-torn Afghanistan. By comparing the social and family environments of the two heroines, the factors affecting feminism awakening are analyzed. Review the experience of the heroines in the novel, to see the real situation of women. The purpose of this paper is to show that men and women should be equal in all aspects of existence, women should strive to overcome difficulties, to fight for their rights, and to get a happier life.

The Road to Feminism Awakening in the War Novel A Thousand Splendid Suns

Introduction

Khaled Hosseini was born in 1965 in Kabul, Afghanistan, whose father was a diplomat and mother was a school teacher. After 1970, a series of coups and foreign invasions in Afghanistan ended his childhood. Husseini's father found work in Paris, France, so the family moved to Paris. Because of the instability of the Afghan regime, the family never returned home. Later, After the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, his father decided to apply for political asylum in the United States. The family then moved to SAN Jose, California. In 1999, Husseini accidental read a report that the Taliban forbade citizens to fly kites, which was Husseini's favorite activity in Kabul as a child. Because of the inner impulsion, he wrote a short story and eventually expanded it into a novel The Kite Runner in 2001. Husseini's The Kite Runner was a success, winning various new artist awards and topping the amazon charts for 131 weeks. In 2007, Husseini published his second novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns. The third novel And The Mountains Echoed was published in 2013. Although he is in the United States, he still focuses his writing theme on Afghanistan, so that people can have a more comprehensive understanding of Afghanistan, and recognize the status quo of Afghanistan, which can help Afghanistan rebuild and build a more perfect country. All his novels have had a good sales and been well acclaimed by the media and the public. In addition, He is the author of the New York Times bestsellers. He is a U.S. Goodwill Envoy to the United Nations Refugee Agency, and the founder of The Khaled Hosseini Foundation, a nonprofit that provides humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

A Thousand Splendid Suns was the best-selling novel in the United States in 2007, selling more than 1.05 million copies in the United States within four days of its release.
