Moment in Peking was written by Lin yutang during the WWII when Japan launched a full-scale war against China and all ethnic groups struggled to resist the war. This work is about the love and hatred between Tseng, Yao, and Niu, three families from the boxer rebellion in 1901 to the Anti-Japanese War.
