摘 要

随着国际间交流的日益频繁，影视交流也越来越密切。电影《哈利波特》是根据英国作家JK罗琳同名小说改编的电影，全世界无数的青少年沉醉在魔法世界的奇幻中。电影字幕翻译是观众了解异国文化最简洁直观的途径，也是传播本民族文化的重要方式。本文在目的论关照下，以观众的角度探讨《哈利波特》系列电影的字幕翻译策略。首先介绍了字幕翻译并分析了其特点。其次讨论了目的论及目的论在字幕翻译中的应用，最后在目的论的翻译策略下，探究了电影字幕翻译涉及到的翻译方法，如归化法、异化法、省略法和音译法等。

On Subtitle Translation of Harry Potter from the Perspective of Skopostheorie

1. Introduction

The word “Globalization” appeared in western newspapers in the 1980s. Since Gurry, the Secretary General of the United Nations, announced that the world has entered the era of globalization, the word has been used widely in every field. The economic, political and cultural exchanges among all countries in the world are inextricably linked. As intercultural communications are becoming more and more frequent, translation plays a critical role in the process of information exchange. In recent years, China has introduced many foreign films which is the most convenient way to open horizon and help viewers understand western culture. At the same time, more subtitle translations are needed to promote the development of intercultural communications. As a special form of translation, subtitle translation is similar to written translation and oral interpretation to some extent, but there are still differences between them. However, there are not many studies on subtitle translation in China. Only foreign movies shown in domestic cinemas own the subtitle translation made by producers. The main participants in the translation of movie and TV series are still the vast network subtitle translation groups.

The film series Harry Potter was adapted from the fantasy literary series of novels written by a British writer J.K Rowling from 1997 to 2007. The first six films are based on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and describe the young wizard student Harry Potter and his friends at Hogwarts for six years of study and adventure. The last two films tell about Harry and his friends sought the Horcrux and destroyed Voldemort in the Second Witch War.
