摘 要

国外教育理论研究起步较早,发展迅速,也有政策的支持。例如,美国在教育和外语界的共同努力下制定出《二十一世纪外语学习的标准》,这就要求教学内容不仅包括语言和文化,而且包括沟通策略、思维能力、现代技术等。在英国, 要求语言教学要适应社会发展的需要,所以人们越来越重视培养学生分析问题和解决问题的能力。近年来英语教学的一些学者探讨了英语专业学生的培养模式。有的侧重于讨论培训模式的转变,有的研究在人才培养的跨学科模式下英语课程设置及其归属,有的介绍了某些高校的创新模式。本文试图从人才培养目标、课程设置、教材与师资队伍建设、教学方法与手段、教学评价等方面对当前英语专业培养方案进行分析。通过对相关研究论文的理论研究和相关研究,结合人才培养随时间变化的理念,探讨了当前大学英语培养方案,分析了各种教学方法和模式的优势。为大学英语人才培养过程提供参考,促进英语人才培养的健康发展, 提高英语人才培养质量。

Research of educational theories started early in foreign countries and developed fast with policy support. For examples, in America, Education and Foreign Language Education worked together and drawn up Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century, which demands that the teaching content shall cover not only language and culture, but also the communication strategy, ability of thinking, modern technology, etc. In the United Kingdom, language teaching is required to meet the needs of social development, so more attentions are paid to training students’ abilities to analyze and solve problems. Recently some scholars of EFL teaching discuss the training mode of English majors. Some focus on the change of training mode; some think about English course arrangement and its attribution in the inter-disciplinary mode of talent cultivation; some introduced the innovation of training modes in certain universities. The paper tries to analyze the current education plan of English major, such as the objective of talents training, curriculum provision, construction of teaching material and teaching staff, teaching method and means, teaching evaluation and so on. Through doing the theoretical research and studying related research paper, and considering the changing concept of talents cultivation with time, the paper tries to discuss the current education plan of the college English major, analyze the advantages of the various teaching methods and modes. In order to provide some reference for the process of College English talents training and promote the sound development of English talent training and improve the quality of English talents training.

On Innovation of Education Program of English Majors

Introduction

Research of educational theories started early in foreign countries and developed fast with policy support. For examples, in America, Education and Foreign Language Education worked together and drawn up Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century, which demands that the teaching content shall cover not only language and culture, but also the communication strategy, ability of thinking, modern technology, etc. In the United Kingdom, language teaching is required to meet the needs of social development, so more attentions are paid to training students’ abilities to analyze and solve problems. Recently in Japan, the government, industry and academe have reached consensus to attach more importance on the reform of language education, especially the English language. In 2000 and 2002, the Japanese Ministry of Education released two documents to promote the reform of English teaching.

Domestic research almost focuses on the exploration of English talent training, especially on the design of talent cultivation system. In recent years, some research papers discuss the mode of English talent training. The scholars such as Peng Ping, in her paper Reflections on the training mode of English compound talents in teaching, she points out the difference between “English major major” and “major English language”, and further discusses the English course arrangement and its attribution in the inter-disciplinary mode of talent cultivation. Wang Yanyan at el. put forward some suggestions in the Investigation and Enlightenment of the demand and training mode of business English Majors. In her opinion, teachers should be of teaching and business working experience, teaching materials shall be timeliness and full of examples, and the case study shall be adopted in teaching.
