摘 要

二十世纪美国作家艾丽斯·沃克的代表作《紫色》描写中下层黑人女性的觉醒之旅， 是一部思想性很强而艺术水平又颇高的作品。《秀拉》是诺贝尔文学奖得主托妮·莫里森最犀利的人性故事，描摹了美国黑人社区“底层”的生活图景,是一部充满了启示性的伟大小说。

本文以《紫色》与《秀拉》中女主人公茜丽与秀拉为研究对象，运用文本细读与对比研究的方法，从女性主义视角对比研究女主人公为争取自身的权利与自由所采用的不同方式，探究女权探索道路上茜丽的成功和秀拉的悲剧。

本文共分为六个章节。绪论部分简述《紫色》与《秀拉》两部作品的文学价值，综述前人对两部作品的研究成果，并阐明论文的研究框架和对比研究角度。第二章节介绍女权主义的形式与影响。第三章节与第四章节分别从家庭、朋友和社区分析女主人公茜丽与秀拉自我重建的完全不同的人生际遇。本文第五章节从生活背景、心理和精神层面对女主人公的女权主义诉求进行了比较研究，显示了温和与非常规的方式下截然不同的黑人女性的觉醒。在结论部分中，从整体上总结了女主人公成长经历的伤痛与成功之处， 提出黑人女性必须建立起与他人联系与沟通的渠道，才能获得彻底的解放和自由。

The Color Purple, as the masterpiece of the American writer Alice Walker, is published in the twentieth century. It describes awakening trips of black women from the middle and low class, which is a high-level ideological and artistic work. Sula is the most sharp human story of Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison, depicting a life picture of American black’ s“bottom” community. Sula is a great novel that is full of revelation.

The paper focus on the comparative study on black feminist quest of Celie and Sula in The Color Purple and Sula. Adopting the method of text reading and comparative study, this paper tries to reveal the different ways of heroines in fighting for their own power and rights from the perspective of feminism, analyzing Celie’ s success and Sula’ s tragedy on the road of feminist quest.

This paper is divided into six chapters. The introduction briefly introduces the literary value of the two works of The Color Purple and Sula and summarizes the research results of the two works, then it puts forward the comparative perspective. The second chapter introduces the form and influence of feminism. The third and the fourth chapter respectively analyzes the completely different self-reconstruction results of Celie and Sula from the family, friends and community level. The fifth chapter of this paper makes comparative study from physical, psychological and spiritual aspect, showing the awakening of black women in gentle and unconventional way. The conclusion part sums up the pain and success of the heroines’ growth experience, and puts forward that black women should establish the channels of contact and communication with others in order to obtain the complete liberation and freedom.
