摘 要

中式洋泾浜英语作为一种混合了英语与汉语的特殊语言变体，体现了许多不标准的语言特征。这种洋泾浜英语在发音上存在着减音、增音和寻找代替音的错误做法；在词汇上广泛使用一词多义、中国观念词和中式英语来表达；而在语法上，存在着简化量词、误用人称代词和按照中国习惯造句等错误。虽然中式洋泾浜英语在当时特定的语言环境下，对贸易交流起到了积极的作用，但却不能适应当今社会的需要，因此必须加以改进。本文提出了一些可行性改进措施，即：培养人们在学英语和说英语的时候形成西方思维模式，保证在教学时有正确的语言输入，以及利用当今先进的科技模拟创造一个有利的语言环境，从而实现洋泾浜英语向标准英语的转变。

A Brief Study of the Features of Chinese Pidgin English

1. Introduction

According to Professor Yang Xingzhang ,“ Pidgin refers to a contact language that arises in situations where speakers of different languages can not understand each other’s first language or native language and, thus, need to develop a common means of communication”( Yang, 204 ). For this purpose, the structure and vocabulary of the two languages involved are simplified in order to achieve mutual understanding. As a result, a functional mixed language gradually develops and is learned together with one’s native language.

Chinese Pidgin English is actually an interlanguage between Chinese and English which was created in the Qing Dynasty by the Chinese people for trading with foreigners. At that time, the second language acquisition is not mature enough, so people had to learn English in an informal way, which leads to the rise of Chinese Pidgin English.
